Hello. I’m doing research for a story I’m writing on and have a couple questions about the scenario I’ve set up.
Story situation: A young woman, around 23 years old, was hiking alone and has slipped and fallen down a rocky embankment, injuring her leg and getting cuts and bruises in multiple places. It’s a little before noon and she has just over half her water bottle left, but not much else. The temperature is around 85-90 degrees Fahrenheit, and the humidity is around 70%.
The questions: How long will she be able to live if she’s unable to find another water source and help doesn’t arrive in time? And given the adrenaline rush she would have had from falling, does that have any affect on her survival time?
Thanks!
