Professionally a clinician and researcher, a self-professed technology enthusiast. Socially a husband, father, and son.

What motivated you to practice medicine?

It's a career that gives opportunities to create a positive impact daily and lead a meaningful life.

What kind of practice do you run?

I presently run a hybrid virtual and in-person family clinic, while studying the applications of digital health in clinical practice using case studies in Ophthalmology.

Do you have any specific area of your specialty/ practice that you focus on?

Medical innovation.

What are your goals for the future?

Helping to facilitate scaling up of clinical initiatives and public health programs that leverage technology for improved access and operational efficiencies.

What are some of the biggest challenges you've faced and obstacles you've had to overcome?

As a clinician working with technical and product development teams, one of the largest challenges is to bridge communication and cultural differences between the two fields, and the need to constantly keep abreast with evolving technology trends.

Have you found anything particularly helpful in your journey to where you are today?

Keeping an open mind and genuine curiosity goes a long way! I also find getting skin in the game and directly dabbling with these tools provides valuable insights.

What's your advice for doctors who are just starting out?

Definitely to keep an open mind when approaching professional development, looking at adjacent fields for potential ideas, and always make time for rest and self-care!

What do you do for fun?

I am fairly extroverted. Most past times involve activities or outings with friends and family, particularly travel and trying out new food 🤣
